Design and Case

The bosses of the DJI Innovations decide and conclude, that the button layout which has been known by the public can make more sales, thus DJI phantom 3 looks exactly the same as its predecessor the Phantom 2 Vision, with the same design and plastic coated white on the outside.
Has almost the same weight - about 2.82 pounds (1280 grams).
Compared with Vision + difference is too small (about 1.3 ounces or 38 grams).

With higher power compared to all previously released Phantom, including Vision + v2.0, which makes them very much strong in windy weather, as quadcopter which has a stronger towards higher winds.

It is quadcopter 'Ready-to-Fly' that do not need special skills to fly.
Only assemble, replace the battery, calibrate the compass and set up a connection to the GPS and we are ready to fly.





With built-in GPS and GLONASS features, there are several flight modes, namely: automatic, semi-automatic mode and manual.

In automatic mode, before following the programmed path, set before the flight. However DJI released SDK, which allows anyone to build their own applications with waypoints.

In semi-automatic mode, you can control your phantom 3 manually, but using a GPS system for stabilization which makes it perfect for capturing video in the air or make better photos.

And, finally, there is a fully manual mode that gives full control over the drones so that it can do nothing to reverse and stylish fit that inclinations. But beware of the speed of these drones, because quite agile. And this mode enables you to make a better video than using GPS mode for stable flight, but you have to practice more to make it more real.





To ensure a safer quadcopter, Phantom autopilot 3 has some additional features:

Auto-Return Home which can be activated simply by pressing a button, useful if Drone away from view. Failsafe function is a feature that is very, very useful to prevent falls from height if the battery runs out or by some other reason. There is also a Fly Zone features that block the possibility to fly Phantom 3 in restricted areas such as airports zone.

And the last is ... mode 'Follow me' / Follow me mode.
This is a new feature in the series phantom, but was introduced in the DJI Inspire 1 quadcopter back at the end of 2014. But at a cost of more than $ 2,500 course and not everyone can afford and enjoy this feature.

The point is quadcopter can follow you from a distance.
To activate this mode you only need to set up a connection between devices equipped with GPS. While the connection is running, You can do whatever want, with GPS which is in your hands, of course.



Remote Control

Quadcopter is equipped with a new remote control that has a different design compared to the previous one in Phantom 2 Vision +.

The front panel is equipped with a power button and a 'return to home'. At the top they located two sticks and mobile device holder (suitable for smartphones and tablets). At the bottom there is a built-in LED indicator 2 cell Li-Po battery that can be recharged with the capacity of 6000 mAh.

In the upper right corner is located two controls for the camera: start / stop recording video and control the pad.Also, there is a switch flight mode, also known as PAF switch.

In the upper left corner is the playback button, setting the shutter button and the camera driver.

Intelligent Flight A new battery has a capacity of 4480 mAh and the higher volt (15.2V to 11.1V compared with Vision + battery). As before, this one has been equipped with sensors that allow you can find out everything about the overall status of the battery including the time left to fly.

Professional version is equipped with a more powerful charger that can save time because the battery usage significantly faster.

The Pico-Falcon really is tiny, measuring 46mm in length, and even the infrared controller that ships with it looks huge in comparison.
