Widely recognized as the best modern day Main Battle Tank (MBT), Tamiya introduces the latest German Leopard 2 tank, the Leopard 2 A6, to the 1/16 scale R/C tank series.


its just like driving the real thing! Evolved DMD unit The T-07 DMD unit provides the 1/16 R/C Leopard 2 A6 with more features than any other Tamiya R/C tank. The T-07 unit matches engine sound (which has been digitally recorded from a real MB873-Ka501 turbo-charged diesel engine) with tank movements, and controls various lightning combinations activated easily with transmitter.


Turret rotation, gun elevation and firing sounds also add to the realism of this model. The T-07 unit and 7.2V battery are mounted in the turret for easy and quick accessibility. Synchronized light and sound effects The R/C Leopard 2 A6 is equipped with a sound speaker unit mounted at the center of the hull.


A xenon flash tube is used to make gun firing more convincing. When fired, main gun recoils and then goes back smoothly to its initial position thanks to a gearbox mounted in the turret.

Of course, these actions are coupled with sound effects which have been digitally recorded from the actual tank. High mobility transmission The R/C Leopard is powered by 2 high-torque Type 540 motors.



A specially designed gearbox allows smooth power transmission at both low and high speeds. This system accurately imitates the transmission of the actual tank. One motor controls forward/backward movement and the other motor allows the tank to turn and rotate. Suspension comes equipped with torsion bars that give this model high mobility.

Smooth turret and gun movement In order to obtain smooth rotation, the turret ring has been equipped with 20 steel balls. The newly designed system for gun elevation and recoil effect features a servo for more realistic movements. While rotating turret with gun in lowered position, the gun automatically raises and goes back to its initial position to avoid the engine deck.

The Pico-Falcon is actually an update to the Nano Falcon, which was released back in 2013 and held the crown of world’s smallest until now.



The Pico-Falcon really is tiny, measuring 46mm in length, and even the infrared controller that ships with it looks huge in comparison.



The Pico-Falcon is not only smaller it’s also much improved with a new gyro center and tandem rotors for better stability.



Because it’s so tiny, inevitably the battery is, too. A 30 minute charge gets you about 5 minutes flying time.



At $45 it’s not expensive but also can’t be classed as cheap either, really. It’s a gift that will keep the recipient amused on your happy Day and then spend the rest of its days on a shelf or in a cupboard.

If you want something that is really hard to break...!!

 

 Speed and height are always going to be a great starting recipe for damage when it comes to any remote controlled toy or vehicle.  If you are really looking for a helicopter or quadcopter that is hard to break then the Gyro Hercules Unbreakable Helicopter is definitely worth considering.

 Although a lot of the models on the market today are in fact quite robust when used within their performance range the thing about the Hercules is that its makers have really tried to market it on the basis of how hard it is to break.  Let’s face it nothing is truly indestructible but when it comes to helicopters the designers here certainly seem to have made a good effort.

 So although the Hercules is not a top of the line high performance machine it is one that might stand up to a few more rough sessions that the kids want to throw at it!
